At Corner Acre, we don't simply choose products—we take the time to know the people behind them.
Every product on our shelves has a story. Before we decide to carry a brand, we visit cultivation facilities, ask questions, and spend time understanding the people behind the work. Those firsthand relationships help us confidently recommend every product you'll find in our store.
A few months ago, we drove north to visit Valhalla Cannabis Company.
Matthew "Fatty" Henrichs welcomed us into the cultivation facility and spent the day walking us through the operation he, Colin Krautkremer, and the Valhalla team have built together.
What stayed with us wasn't one big moment.
It was a collection of small ones.

The first thing we noticed was how open the conversations were.
Matthew answered every question with genuine enthusiasm for the craft. He shared what they've learned, what they're continuing to refine, and why every harvest offers another opportunity to improve.
There wasn't any bravado. Just curiosity, honesty, and a willingness to keep learning.
Those qualities matter to us.

As we moved through the facility, another theme became impossible to ignore.
Attention to detail.
The cultivation rooms were exceptionally clean. The canopy was healthy and uniform. Airflow, environmental controls, and organization all reflected a team that pays attention to the little things.
It was easy to see the care that Colin, Matthew, and the entire Valhalla team invest in every stage of cultivation.
One detail we'll never forget?
The first thing we heard inside the grow wasn't silence. It was music.
Whether music helps the plants isn't really the point. It says something about the people tending them every day.

Standing among the flowering plants, it became obvious that great cannabis isn't created by one big moment. It's built through hundreds of thoughtful decisions.
Healthy genetics.
Clean rooms.
Consistent environments.
Patience.
Curiosity.
A commitment to getting a little better every harvest. That's what we saw during our visit.

The work doesn't stop once the plants are harvested.
Drying and curing require the same care and discipline as cultivation itself. Seeing that final stage reminded us that craftsmanship isn't about shortcuts.
It's about consistency.
Valhalla finishes every harvest by hand, preserving the flower's natural shape and trichomes while giving each bud the attention it deserves. It's slower, but they believe great flower is worth the extra time.

When people ask why we carry Valhalla Cannabis Company, we don't start with THC percentages or marketing claims.
We think about the conversations we had. The care we saw. The questions that were welcomed. The pride the team takes in their work.
Those experiences gave us confidence in both the people and the flower.
We're proud to carry Valhalla Cannabis Company because we've taken the time to know the people behind it.
Matthew "Fatty" Henrichs, Colin Krautkremer, and the entire Valhalla team are helping build Minnesota's craft cannabis industry with humility, curiosity, and genuine care for their work.
Every product has a story.
This is why Valhalla is on our shelves.
